Kids in our community do not have enough options to keep active. There is only ONE skate rink, no skate park or hockey/ice rink. One movie theater. no arcade. Kids are forced to sit at home and do nothing, or to get in to trouble. I think having a place where kids can go and enjoy being a kid will help out amazingly. I know in nashville they have a place called rocket town. It has places where small town bands can preform, a skate and bike park. why not expand on this while we can have a building with a small area for local bands,and also music lessons,skate/bike park, kids theater, ice rink, and what ever else that ttown kid zone can provide to help children in our community stay out of the trouble they can easily get in. Tuscaloosa is a college town and children have no place to go to get away from that. The part of town that was hit the hardest was one of the most was our kids. this is there home where everything was perfect.... and now we need to give them a glimse of "perfect" agian.
