What about a ferry of some type across the Warrior? It could ferry from a parking lot somewhere on the north side to the new Park at Manderson Landing, that includes plans for a pedestrian bridge for UA. The area could also easily provide access to existing UA and Tuscaloosa transit systems. It could benefit commuters from north of the river, as well as enhance various events held by the University.

While this is not located within the damaged areas of town, it could help reduce automobile traffic and benefit all areas of Tuscaloosa in that way.
