. People talk of nice neighborhoods where families can raise kids. Where bike and pedestrian paths can be built along the streets. Homes close enough to shopping and work, where folks can walk or bike. Forest Lake and Cedar Crest fit these ideals nicely ... if they remain family homesteads and not apartments. Homes near the University have been mentioned and this area fits the bill. Close enough to bike , use a scooter or even a small electric car. Easy to carpool with neighbors. Yes indeed. Please attend any and all zoning board meetings and demand that these two areas go to or stay R-1, and lets create a nice neighborhood for these displaced families to return to and watch their kids grow and play. :) . |
