HERO Hale Empowerment & Revitalization Organization has been doing wonderful, wonderful work in Hale and surrounding counties. It would be fantastic to see them assisting in Tuscaloosa not only with the immediate needs of helping people with rebuilding grants and loans but, in the long term. Perhaps they could be housed in a "village center" as part of the community school idea. They programs that they offer include adult ed so they would be a perfect fit!
